Welcome to the Waroona Community Centre
Information and Access point
At the Centre we display pamphlets, poster and other public notices that relate to services provided in the community. We also maintain a directory of agencies that operate in the region so that people can easily locate the services that they require.
Referral to Services
Our staff provide families and individuals with information about services available to them and arrange appointments as required. All members of the staff are bound by a code of client confidentiality to ensure that your privacy is protected.
Support
The Centre provides a meeting place for people with similar experiences to come together in a friendly and supportive atmosphere. Our staff can provide information and resources for self-help groups in a range of areas. The Centre can also help in liaising with other groups and developing a network.
Community Resources
The Centre is able to assist community groups by providing facilities and a venue to operate from. Our staff can provide training and resources for management committees if required. Our aim is to encourage community development and by promoting effective management practices and a spirit of collaboration.
Community Education
Ranges of training opportunities are provided through the Centre. We have an array of educational information addressing common issues within the community.
Outreach
The Centre liaises with existing government and non-government agencies outside of the Waroona area to deliver services that meet the identified needs of this community.
Advocacy
Our staff are able to provide support and advocacy for people who are seeking assistance and, if required, act on the clients behalf.
